Table Layout and Design

All content presented, in this section, has been designed, and styled using Tables and CSS. This division area, also known as div id="content" , contains a main container table, and a nested Table for the presentational thumbnail images. As this table may be unique to the site, Embedded styles have been chosen for CSS formatting.

This table is being used to chart the evolution of a Design Project. The charge for this project is to create a really fun invitation for a client's 40th Birthday Party. Part of the theme is "Toucan", which is the nickname of the client's husband because of his rather large nose. His friends call him "Tukes". Text and family pictures were provided by the client for integration into the completed work.
To use this display, Click on the image for a larger view. Start at the Top Left column and move down to the bottom. Resume in the Middle column, starting at the top and moving down. Continue down the Third column.

The Stages of Design
	1.Idea number one begins with a simple Jungle Background collage that uses three images.	6.More experimental text effects are applied in this version. The client is sent a copy for critique. She loves it!	11.The completed version for the back side of idea number one.

	2.The idea evolves with the addition and incorporation of the honorees photo as a 14 year old growing out of the jungle.	7.This version is idea/concept number two, featuring then and now photos, more text effects, and repeating elements. Top	12.This version is the companion for idea/concept number two. The client loved version two over one.

	3.Some text effects appear and just for fun some Photoshop neon filters are applied.	8.Idea/concept number three is being born. Offering clients several options to choose from is the work of a professional.	13.The companion back side for idea three begins to take shape.

	4.The remainder of the text is added and placed for maximum readability and impact. The Toucan appears.	9.After critiquing the three comps, this Final version of the Front side contains elements that the client really liked from all three versions.	14.The transitional phase. The client really liked the background from idea two so we went with it.

	5.This version plays with text effects and color. Nothing is set in stone as yet.	10.The birth of the companion back side of the card for idea number one. Text has been dropped in formatting.	15.The completed Final Back side, featuring the client's two favorite men - her husband and her son.
